The world is changing. We have to prepare our students for their future, not for our past. This wiki was made to support the session given at the IDC conference in Laval, Québec on February 13, 2007.
The Powerpoint you saw was an adaptation of one made by Karl Fisch of Colorado. His willingness to share it and have it adapted is just one example of the sharing and connections happening through the new read/write web.
Here is a remix of it done by a Winnipeg teacher, Darren Kuropatwa, whose blog A Difference is an inspiration.
